Lewis John Kindrick, age 38.Associate Degree, living in Dallas, Texas Karen Kay Meyer, age 40, Masters Degree, a teacher at Gibsonburg Schools not far from where she lives in Bowling Green, Ohio. She and her husband married nearly 5 years ago. She could not get pregnant. Once she signed the adoption papers for her Chinese daughter she became pregnant. My grand-son, Aden, is 2 1/2 years old; Alea, the Chinese grand-daughter, is 18 months old. We have one cat,Lucky, who is about nine years old . We love him dearly.
Previous occupations: I was a housewife who pitched in when the cash was low , then quit when things were good.

College / other education: Summer session of '63 at Miami Jacobs Junior College then in 1982 graduated with an Associate Degree in Commercial Art at age 38.

Interests / Hobbies: I take an art class in painting as I could be better painting scenery and landscapes. I am good at drawing people.I like reading and looking at colonelwhite63.com

Memorable trips / job assignments / activities: My first husband was in the air force and we lived in Erdorf, Germany near Belguim and Luxemburg where we also traveled. We went to many cities in Germany. We also went to Paris, France, Amsterdam, Holland and into East Germany through the wall. My first husband won many trips around the United States as well as the Bahamas and Switzerland . My daugher and I went to Mexico and Harry and I went to Aruba.
Parents and siblings - where are they now? My parents are dead and I was an only child. My cousins and their children and mine are very artistic and three are employed as artists.. One worked for Walt Disney.
Regrets: I was too dependent as a housewife.
Do you think that your job / life is where you thought it would be when you were in high school? No. I thought I would just be a housewife but my ex-husband became an alcoholic and I was forced to divorce him and live my own life.
If you could start over, would you / would you not, make the same choices you did the first time around? Probably not.
Favorite Memories of Col. White: Going to the football games.
Teacher(s): Miss Cole, Mr. Bing Davis, Mr. Groff, Mr. Phillips who loved my drawings.
Classes /courses: Mrs. Gerald's Class was something else, rather entertaining. English, Art, and I wish I would have taken Chorus and drafting.
Classmates / pals: Kathy Conover, Wava Miller, Rochelle Sommers, Judy Coven Grove, Barbara Lykins, Barbara Racz, and Sona Todd. Anita Alles was nice too.
Future plans: To keep on working and traveling. Also I plan on spending time with the grandchildren as they get older.
Retirement plans: Yes, and I will get back in Toastmasters if I am able. I am not there yet so I don't know.
Words of wisdom / comments / messages for classmates: I am so impressed by how educated and successful you all have been. It just proves that we received a good education at Colonel White.
